Thank you to everyone who joined us in this year's ARTivism, an event dedicated to showcasing, discussing, and auctioning donated artwork for charitable purposes, with a theme of social action.
-
This year's ARTivism theme was "Female Resistance Amidst Conflict," to highlight the incredible resolve that Armenian women have demonstrated amid adversity for our homeland.
-
The event successfully raised over $1700, 100% of which was donated to the Hidden Road Initiative, a charitable non-profit organization that aims to provide educational and leadership opportunities for students living in remote villages in Armenia and Artsakh through annual educational summer camps, scholarship opportunities, and development projects. Proceeds were also generated through traditional Armenian foods such as ponchiks and pirashkis which were sold to attendees, as well as general donations. Thank you to all who participated, donated, or auctioned for artwork!
-
All-ASA also thanks the She Loves Collective for their assistance in organizing the event, as well as for donating a significant portion of the auctioned artwork. The She Loves Collective is an organization for female artists who emphasize social change in their work. The organization supports and exhibits both newer and established artists, helping them to make their voices heard, all while testing "the boundaries of medium, expression, and creativity."
-
ARTivism was not limited to visual artwork. Attendees also showcased original poetry, music, a documentary screening, as well as a performance of traditional Armenian azgagrakan dance by students of the Lernazang Ensemble.

Thank you to Hero House Glendale for providing All-ASA with their space as the official venue of this event.
